Sheep Pox & Goat Pox Live Vaccine

Goat Pox Vaccine, Live, contains the attenuated goat pox virus strain CVCC AV41, providing immunity against goat pox and sheep pox. Immunity develops within 4-5 days after vaccination and lasts for up to 12 months. The vaccine is administered via intracutaneous injection into the inner side of the tail root or thigh, with a dosage of 0.5 ml per head for both goats and sheep. Care should be taken when vaccinating pregnant sheep to avoid mechanical abortion.

Sheep Pox Vaccine Description

This vaccine contains a live attenuated goat pox virus strain (CVCC AV41), a well-established strain used for the control of capripoxvirus infections in small ruminants.

Goat pox and sheep pox are highly contagious viral diseases causing:

  • Skin lesions and scab formation

Dosage & Administration

Preparation:

  • Reconstitute with sterile normal saline or water for injection to 0.5 mL per dose
