Classical Swine Fever Vaccine Description
This live attenuated vaccine is developed from a rabbit-adapted classical swine fever virus strain (CVCC AV1412), produced via advanced tissue culture technology to ensure high immunogenicity, stability, and safety.
Classical swine fever (CSF), also known as hog cholera, is a highly contagious viral disease causing high fever, hemorrhagic lesions, immunosuppression, and high mortality, resulting in severe economic losses in the swine industry.
This vaccine provides a rapid onset of immunity within 4 days post-vaccination, making it highly effective for both routine immunization and emergency protection in outbreak-risk areas. It induces strong cellular and humoral immune responses, ensuring long-term protection.
The product is widely used in national immunization programs, commercial pig farms, and breeding operations, particularly in regions where CSF remains endemic or poses a potential threat.
Immunization Program
Standard Program (Non-endemic areas):
- Piglets without maternal antibodies:
- Single vaccination after weaning
Enhanced Program (At-risk or endemic areas):
- First vaccination: 21–30 days of age
- Booster: ~65 days of age
Special Strategy (Maternal antibody interference):
- Pre-weaning piglets may receive higher-dose immunization to overcome maternal antibody interference
Immunity Profile:
- Onset: ~4 days post-vaccination
- Duration: Up to 12 months (in piglets without maternal antibodies)
Dosage & Administration
- Route: Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection
- Reconstitution: Dilute with sterile normal saline to 1 dose/mL
Dosage:
- Piglets: 1.0 mL per head (1 dose)
