Antigens and antibodies to bursal infections in chickens

Infectious Bursal Disease Immune-complex Vaccine (Strain CF)

This vaccine provides effective prevention against infectious bursal disease in chickens. With a minimum antigen activity of 50 PD50/dose, it is administered either via subcutaneous injection for day-old chicks or in ovo for 18-day-old embryos. Store at 2-8℃, with an 18-month shelf life, and use reconstituted vaccine within 2 hours.

Product Description

This immune-complex vaccine is specifically designed for the prevention of infectious bursal disease (IBD), also known as Gumboro disease, a highly contagious viral infection that targets the bursa of Fabricius and causes severe immunosuppression in young chickens.

The vaccine utilizes advanced immune-complex technology, where live IBD virus (strain CF) is combined with specific antibodies. This formulation allows the vaccine virus to remain temporarily neutralized, enabling it to bypass interference from maternally derived antibodies (MDA). Once maternal antibodies decline, the vaccine virus is gradually released, inducing active immunity at the optimal time.

This mechanism ensures uniform flock immunity, even in chicks with varying maternal antibody levels, making it highly suitable for modern hatchery vaccination programs.

With a minimum antigen potency of ≥ 50 PD50 per dose, the vaccine provides reliable and consistent immune protection. It is ideal for both in-ovo vaccination (18-day embryos) and day-old chick vaccination, supporting large-scale poultry production systems.
