Goose Parvovirus Vaccine Description
This live attenuated vaccine is developed using a duck-embryo-adapted gosling plague virus strain (GD), providing effective protection against gosling plague (goose parvovirus infection), a highly contagious and often fatal disease affecting young goslings.
Gosling plague is characterized by high mortality, severe enteritis, and growth retardation, causing significant economic losses in goose production systems. Control of this disease relies heavily on maternal antibody transfer from vaccinated breeding geese to their offspring.
This vaccine is specifically designed for pre-laying immunization of breeding geese, enabling the production of high levels of maternal antibodies. As a result, goslings hatched from vaccinated geese between 21 and 270 days post-vaccination receive effective passive immunity against the disease.
The vaccine demonstrates strong immunogenicity and is suitable for integration into breeder flock vaccination programs to ensure consistent protection of young birds during their most vulnerable stage.
