AI H5 Inactivated Vaccine Description
This inactivated bivalent avian influenza vaccine is formulated with two reassortant H5 subtype strains:
- H5-Re13 (H5N6) – targeting clade 2.3.4.4h
- H5-Re14 (H5N8) – targeting clade 2.3.4.4b
These strains are selected to provide broad cross-protection against currently circulating H5 avian influenza variants, which are responsible for significant outbreaks in poultry worldwide.
Avian influenza (AI) is a highly contagious viral disease causing severe respiratory distress, decreased egg production, high mortality, and major economic losses. Effective vaccination is critical for disease control, especially in endemic and high-risk regions.
This oil-emulsion inactivated vaccine induces strong and long-lasting humoral immunity, with protection developing 14 days post-vaccination.
- Chickens: Protection lasts up to 6 months
- Ducks & Geese: Require booster vaccination after 3 weeks, with protection lasting 4 months
The vaccine is suitable for commercial poultry farms, breeder operations, and integrated production systems, particularly where H5 subtype variants are prevalent.
